We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information — your email address and password when you create an account
• Scouting data — opponent notes, tendency logs, stat files, and screenshots you upload to generate reports
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full card number on our servers
• Usage data — how many reports you've generated, which features you use, and basic analytics via Google Analytics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the ScoutIQ platform
• Process your payments and manage your subscription
• Generate AI scouting reports from the data you upload
• Send you important account and service updates
• Respond to your support requests
• Understand how coaches use ScoutIQ so we can build better features

4. AI Processing

When you upload stats, screenshots, or scouting notes, that data is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI to generate your scouting report. Anthropic processes this data according to their privacy policy. We do not use your scouting data to train AI models. Your opponent intelligence stays private to your account.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

• Anthropic — to process AI requests on your behalf
• Stripe — to process payments securely
• Vercel — our hosting provider that serves the application
• Google Analytics — anonymized usage data to understand site traffic
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ScoutIQ or others

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. API keys and sensitive credentials are never exposed in client-side code. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Scouting Data

The scouting reports, tendency logs, and opponent data you create in ScoutIQ belong to you. We do not share your scouting intelligence with other coaches, competitors, or third parties. You can delete your data at any time by contacting us at coach@scoutiqbaseball.com.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We use Google Analytics to understand how coaches use ScoutIQ — this data is anonymized and aggregated. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some features of the app.

9. Children's Privacy

ScoutIQ is intended for coaches, not players. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately.

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time
• Export your tendency data and scouting reports
